Elizabeth McCracken is also the author of two short story collections, Here’s Your Hat What’s Your Hurry and Thunderstruck; two novels, The Giant’s House and Niagara Falls All Over Again; and a memoir, An Exact Replica of a Figment of My Imagination.
McCracken is a graduate of the Writers Workshop of the University of Iowa. She has been a finalist for the National Book Award and won the 2015 Story Prize. She holds the James Michener Chair in Fiction and is director of the New Writers Project in the U.T. Department of English.
