In the poem "The Seafarer' by Ezra Pound, the feeling the seafarer has for the sea is like a love-h@te relationship. The seafarer loves the excitement of ocean travel and visiting foreign lands but he also recognizes the danger and loneliness seafaring entails.

Speaking of poem, terminally ill Australian author, critic and raconteur Clive James has detailed his revelations of life and death in an emotional poem. The prolific writer was diagnosed with leukemia in 2010 and is battling terminal emphysema, a condition that prevents him returning to Australia from the UK.
