Katie lists a host of reason she resents her brother. Her list begins with "he’s allergic to dust," which she clearly states is "bad news when the family business is dedicated to eliminating it." She also complains that, unlike her, "he’s a devoted underachiever." She also goes on to say that he's a well versed hypochondriac when it's time for him to work. She says that "He gets the perfect look of abject pain over his face," and that "his face gets a little pale (I don’t know how he does this)". At this point he'll attempt to stand, but in making himself look so pathetic she feels so bad and insensitive that she just does the work herself! New York Times bestselling author, speaker, and songwriter, Joan Bauer has written 12 novels and won numerous awards for them; they include: • Newbery Honor Medal • American Library Association's Schneider Family Book Award • 2 Christopher Awards • LA Times Book Prize • Chicago Tribune Young Adult Literary Prize • Golden Kite Award of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators If you're interested in writing, iUniverse offers 20 Writing Tips from Fiction Authors.
