Elizabeth McCracken is also the author of two short story collections, Here’s Your Hat What’s Your Hurry and Thunderstruck; two novels, The Giant’s House and Niagara Falls All Over Again; and a memoir, An Exact Replica of a Figment of My Imagination.
McCracken is a graduate of the Writers Workshop of the University of Iowa. She has been a finalist for the National Book Award and won the 2015 Story Prize. She holds the James Michener Chair in Fiction and is director of the New Writers Project in the U.T. Department of English.

Anne Bradstreet is just like many of the other settlers in the Massachusetts area that belonged to a devout Protestant community called the Puritans.

Bradstreet wrote about how hard life is for all humans; time ravages bodies and minds, power and wealth are transient, family members die, inclement weather destroys the land, and it is easy to become distracted by the sinful pleasures of the world.
She also understood that the condition of man is an inheritance from Adam and Eve, and also tried to remain focused on life after death, a great gift for everyone who converted to Puritanism.

The wand of Sirius Black was of unknown length, wood and core material. The length of 15 inches seemingly originates from the prop made by Noble Collection, a large producer of Harry Potter merchandise.
Sirius Black was the best friend of James Potter and Harry Potter's godfather. In Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, he lends his Flying Motorbike to Hagrid so the half-giant can take little Harry to Privet Drive. Sirius is also the titular character in the third book.
